Edward Showalter
Founder
Edward is the Founder of Intec Bioplastics and brings over 55 years of in-depth experience in business development and IP-driven technology innovation. Today, he holds more than 79 patents and patent-pending applications across bioplastic resins, utility patents for the food and beverage industry, medical devices, manufacturing products, electronic applications, and physical-virtual game technology. Edward developed Intec’s flagship product, Hercules BioFlex™ stretch wrap film, and has created more than 500 proprietary bio-resin formulations. His expertise in manufacturing spans more than five decades, grounded in hands-on experience and a deep understanding of product development at scale. He has demonstrated a strong ability to build strategic partnerships throughout his career. This is evident in Intec’s Green PE Project in Illinois, a joint venture with Dow Univation, Marques, Petron Scientech, Lummus Technology, and KBR. He also developed a key manufacturing partnership with DSN DE Mexico to produce Hercules BioFlex™ stretch wrap film. Over the course of his career, he has independently developed numerous partnerships and ventures. He believes that persistence is the key to success, and that second chances often lead to meaningful opportunity. His goal is to lead Intec to an IPO and continue advancing its IP technology and manufacturing capabilities, with the vision of building a multi-billion dollar company. Edward attended Penn State University, studying Industrial Engineering at night while working for Harley-Davidson during the day, and graduated with a diploma in Electronics Technology.

Robert Liška is a seasoned business executive with over 25 years of experience leading and supporting ventures across the United States and Europe. His business journey began in the family-founded company, Durotech-Airlessco, a pioneer in airless spray equipment. Today, Robert channels that early foundation into his role as a strategic angel investor, focusing on startups that are shaping the future. He currently serves as a lead angel investor in Intec Bioplastics, Inc., where his insight and leadership play a vital role in helping the company scale and succeed. As co-founder of Makaha Industries, Inc., he built the company from the ground up into a long-standing, successful operation that continues to thrive today. Throughout his career, Hector has developed deep expertise in 3PL distribution, operations, and customer relationships, earning a reputation for building scalable systems and long-term partnerships. He has worked with major companies across a wide range of industries, including cosmetics, film, and consumer goods, helping to streamline distribution and support growth at scale.
